KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) SJK Chung Hua No 5, Kuching will organise its first eWASTE campaign on Jan 14 and 15.

The voluntary humanitarian organisation said the campaign is organised to collect old and obsolete electronic scraps such as computers, printers and computer related products, cell phones, cables and wires, lithium-ion batteries, kitchen electronic appliances and televisions from the public.

It added that the campaign will be held at the school premises during the two days from 8am to 5pm.

“The objective of this campaign is to provide a better environment to safely dispose of their electronic waste.

“Besides that, members of the public could also donate used clothing and reading materials,” it said in a statement today.

Proceeds from the sale of e-waste collection and used clothing will be donated to charities.
