KUCHING: The King Scout Brotherhood Sarawak Branch sent an entourage of ten members to the Borneo Association Top Achiever Scouts (ATAS) Gathering 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu last Saturday.

The Sarawak delegation, led by Chief Scout Commissioner John Lim Boon Beng, included senior leaders Ting Wei Shun, Fu Juat Hian, Chan Fang Liang and Thien Hoong Yeee, together with delegates Brendan Tong, Liew Pei Sze, Jacqueline Jee, Rachel Tong and Lim Kim Yuan.

The gathering brought together King Scouts and Baden Powell Award (BPA) recipients from across Borneo, serving as a platform to strengthen camaraderie and reinforce the ATAS spirit of service, achievement, and brotherhood.

John Lim Boon Beng acclaimed the gathering is more than just a reunion of achievers.

“It is a reminder of our lifelong commitment as King Scouts to lead by example, to serve with humility, and to inspire the next generation of scout,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He added that the presence of the Sarawak delegation symbolised unity and strengthened the ties of friendship among King Scouts in Borneo, reflecting the mission of Scouting in Sarawak in nurturing leaders who contribute not only within the movement but also in society.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in fellowship sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions on upcoming ATAS activities across the region.

The Sarawak representatives also shared the state’s unique scouting journey and exchanged experiences with counterparts from Sabah, Brunei, and Indonesia Kalimantan.

This participation marks a proud milestone for Sarawak, as the fraternity continues to play an active role in regional scouting excellence, ensuring that the ATAS spirit of achievement and brotherhood remains strong for the future.
