LAWAS: The need for better and safer basic infrastructure in rural areas continues to receive attention to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of residents.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said actual conditions on the ground must be assessed to ensure project implementation takes into account local needs and circumstances.

Awang Tengah, who is also Bukit Sari assemblyman, stressed the importance of electricity supply safety, particularly exposed cables that come into contact with water and could potentially cause power disruptions.

“Project implementation must be carefully assessed to ensure the facilities provided are safe, functional and beneficial to the residents,” he said during a working visit to the project sites of the Kampung Merambai and Kampung Bukit Manang community halls in Merapok, here, recently.

Among the matters highlighted were the need for a community hall, church and concrete roads connecting the homes of residents in both villages.
