KUCHING: Sarawak Tribune columnist and entrepreneur Esther Law Lee Poh has passed away at the age of 51.
According to a notice issued by her family, Esther passed away peacefully at 8.44 pm on June 14 at Beijing South Region Oncology Hospital in China.
Her remains will be cremated in Beijing before her ashes are brought back to Kuching.
Funeral and wake arrangements will be announced once finalised.
Esther was a familiar name to Sarawak Tribune readers, having contributed two columns weekly to the newspaper for several years.

Her final column, titled The Colour Blue: Mother, was published on May 21.
In the article, Esther reflected on the symbolism of the colour blue and its association with motherhood, nurturing, empowerment and unconditional love, while encouraging readers to appreciate the women who have shaped their lives.
Over the years, her contributions became a regular feature on the newspaper’s opinion pages, where she developed a loyal following among readers who appreciated her personal insights and positive outlook on life.
Beyond her role as a columnist, Esther was also known within the business community for her entrepreneurial achievements and her efforts in mentoring and empowering others, particularly women.
