KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and several other ministers have visited Minister of Works Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, who is still recovering from his knee surgery.

In a Facebook post, Nanta said he received a visit from Fadillah, who was present together with Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri and National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang late yesterday (March 15) evening.

“To be honest, undergoing surgery and having to ‘isolate’ yourself from the outside world to continue treatment in hospital is not something fun.

“However, with the presence of family members and comrades-in-arms who were willing to spend time visiting me, raised my spirits to recover as usual.

“This makes me look forward to getting back to work and doing my daily routine as usual,” he said.

Nanta said the visit was also very meaningful, in which he shared his experience getting treated at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) since last week.

“This surprise visit from my friends is certainly very meaningful where I can also share a little bit of my experience of getting treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

“There are also funny stories that make us all laugh. The remaining pain disappeared momentarily. It’s true indeed, laughter is the best medicine.

“Thank you Fadillah, Nancy and Aaron. Thanks also to everyone who took the time to visit me here. I pray for all my friends and family to always be given good health,” he said.

Previously, Nanta said he had been receiving treatment and underwent knee surgery (total knee replacement operation) due to an injury.
