KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, has refuted claims linking him to a poster promoting a free book giveaway using his name and image.
Fadillah, who is the Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) Minister, said the poster, which alleged he was offering 5,000 copies of ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ for free, was completely false and misleading.
“I have no involvement whatsoever with the dissemination of this poster, and I have never given permission to any party to use my name or image,” he said in a Facebook statement.
Fadillah urged the public to remain vigilant and not fall prey to the irresponsible actions of individuals who misused his identity for deceptive purposes.
“I strongly advise the public not to be deceived by such acts, which are clearly intended to mislead,” he added.
