The final instalment of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise is set to begin filming in December, according to Vin Diesel.

The actor-producer revealed the news on the red carpet at a 25th anniversary screening of ‘The Fast and the Furious’, saying production would start at the end of the year if he could “make good on the request” from the studio.

Diesel said he was finally happy with the script after four years of development and working with four different teams of writers.

“I’m in a good place. I had to go through four sets of writers, four years of development, to get to something that I felt would be worthy of a finale,” he said.

He admitted the script left him emotional when he read it a few weeks ago.

“Halfway through, one tear. By the end of the script that we crafted and worked so hard to make right for you after four years, I was crying. I couldn’t hold it back,” he said.

Diesel added that his sister eventually told him: “No more crying, bro.”

“I just want to say that sometimes, even the toughest guys in the world need to cry,” he added.

Titled ‘Fast Forever’, the final film is scheduled for release in March 2028.
