KUCHING: The Head of State’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, commended the Sarawak Single Mothers Association (PITSA) for its steadfast efforts in empowering single mothers and contributing to the state’s social development.
She said this during a courtesy call by a PITSA delegation at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today, where they shared the association’s journey, its founding background, and the challenges faced by single mothers across the state.
Fauziah praised PITSA’s commitment to improving the lives of single mothers through training programmes, courses, workshops and seminars, noting that their initiatives have created meaningful opportunities for the community.
The PITSA delegation was led by its president, Salmah Ibrahim, alongside board of trustees’ members, Toh Puan Hayati Ahmat, Datuk Seri Sharifah Mordiah Tuanku Fauzi, and Datin Seri Mariam Balan Seling.
Also present were PITSA’s deputy president Horry Bujang, honorary secretary Jemilah Let, assistant honorary secretary Jayah Hassan, honorary treasurer Netti Sahari, assistant honorary treasurer Sa’amah Adis and other committee members.
