MIRI: Miri State Library (Pustaka Miri) will be collaborating with Sime Darby Foundation (YSD) on its rural community reading engagement initiative and digital inclusion.

The proposed locations for the reading corner will be based on the criteria set by YSD.

YSD recently visited one of the proposed locations, Kpg Muhibbah at Kuala Baram.

In this joint effort, the groups will be conducting membership drive, organising digital inclusion as well as planning other activities with YSD volunteers.

The organisations will work together to conduct periodical talks on current issues and events at the selected reading corner.

Both Pustaka Miri and YSD hoped that the community leaders will continue to give their full support in order to help and educate the people.

YSD’s representatives to Kpg Muhibbah with Pustaka Miri officers were its chief executive officer Dr Yatela Zainal Abidin and its head of projects Muzdalifah Nasir.
