SIBU: Four people, including three teenagers, sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Song here yesterday afternoon (Aug 30).
A 44-year-old suffered serious injuries to her face and shoulder, while the other three, aged between 15 and 17 sustained minor injuries.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said its personnel from the Song station arrived at the scene at 1.15 pm, after receiving a distress call at 1:12 pm.
“Upon arrival, it was found that members of the public had already assisted in removing the injured individuals from the accident site.
“However, one injured individual, trapped in a drain, was carefully lifted using a stretcher and carried to a safe ground for medical attention,” it said in a statement.
It added two injured individuals were transported by their families to the Song Health Clinic, while the remaining two were handed over to the medical personnel for further treatment.
