KUCHING: A free Medical Camp and Health Awareness Programme, open to the public, will be held this Sunday (June 15) at CityOne Megamall.

The programme is organised by the Sarawak Human Development Organisation (PPIS) in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kuching Unity (LCKU).

According to PPSI, the health event offers free check-ups, including eye and dental exams, general screenings, needling therapy, blood donation, organ donation pledges, and Hepatitis B and C vaccinations for people of all ages.

“We believe that preventive care and awareness are the cornerstones of a healthy community. Through this medical camp, we hope to empower people to take charge of their health and understand the importance of regular check-ups,” said PPSI president Manjeet Sidhu in a press release today (June 8).

The organisation also urged community participation in life-saving initiatives such as organ pledging and blood donation, supported by a team of medical professionals, health agencies, and volunteers dedicated to improving public health.

“Families and individuals are urged to take advantage of the various health checks and educational booths to better manage their wellbeing,” it added.

For further information, the public may contact PPIS at 014-6926123, visit their social media platforms, or drop by CityOne Megamall on the day of the event.
