KUCHING: Applications are now open for the final intake of the Graduates Enhancement Training Sarawak (GETS) Workplace Readiness Programme (WRP) for March and April this year.

The programme, organised by the Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence Sdn Bhd (SCOPE), is designed to enhance the employability of Sarawak graduates by equipping them with essential workplace competencies, practical skills and professional exposure.

SCOPE Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Lim, said the March and April sessions represent the last opportunity for graduates to participate in the current GETS-WRP cycle.

“The GETS Workplace Readiness Programme continues to play a critical role in bridging the gap between academic learning and workplace expectations,” he added.

“We encourage eligible graduates to take advantage of the upcoming intakes and prepare themselves for meaningful employment opportunities.”

The initiative forms part of Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to strengthen graduate readiness and support talent development in line with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

Following strong participation and positive outcomes from earlier cohorts, the upcoming intakes will focus on preparing graduates for immediate workforce entry through workplace readiness training, professional communication and work ethics, soft skills development, as well as industry engagement and placement opportunities.

The programme is open to Sarawakian graduates, with priority given to those who are unemployed.

Upon completing the training component, participants will be considered for placement with participating employers, subject to availability and suitability.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early as places for the March and April intakes are limited.
