KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received two courtesy visits at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today.
The first courtesy visit was from the Sarawak Mufti Department, led by the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Commission and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
During the visit, Dr Abdul Rahman presented an official invitation to Wan Junaidi to officiate the opening ceremony of the Bintulu Astronomy Centre (Pusat Falak Bintulu), which will take place on August 12.
The centre, which began operations on February 1, 2023, was initially constructed on August 27, 2020 and was fully completed on November 9, 2022.
The second courtesy visit came from the Pahang State Museum, led by its Director, Datuk Ahmad Farid Abdul Jalal.
The purpose of the visit was to extend an invitation to Wan Junaidi to visit Pahang in conjunction with the Temasya Warisan Pahang, which will take place from August 31 to September 7.
