SEBUYAU: A two-day official visit saw the Head of State and his wife engage with local communities through a series of programmes aimed at strengthening ties and community relations.
On Sunday morning, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi began their visit in Sebuyau Town, where they attended a community breakfast session starting at 7 am.
The programme brought together local residents, community leaders, and government officials in a relaxed setting aimed at strengthening ties between leadership and the people.
Prior to the breakfast session, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication, who is also the Sebuyau assemblyman Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, presented a souvenir to Wan Junaidi as a token of appreciation in conjunction with his official visit to the district.
Wan Junaidi and his wife, accompanied by Julaihi, also took time to mingle with the public, visiting food stalls and business premises around Sebuyau Town.
The visit allowed them to engage directly with traders and residents while observing local economic activities and community development.
Wan Junaidi also used the opportunity to interact with members of the public, asking about their well-being and listening to feedback on current developments in the district.
After the programme, the couple proceeded to the Sebuyau Jetty Terminal before continuing their official journey to Lingga for their next engagement.
A day earlier, on Saturday, they also attended the Majlis Wida Keberangkatan Haji at Masjid Al-Muflihin Sebuyau. Their arrival was warmly received by the mosque committee and congregants, after which they joined the Maghrib prayer in congregation.
The programme continued with a religious talk titled “Mengejar Haji Mabrur” delivered by Samarahan Division Religious Officer Ustaz Bahrin Kawi.
Before the Isyak prayer, Wan Junaidi also presented a contribution to the Masjid Al-Muflihin Sebuyau management committee in support of ongoing efforts to strengthen religious activities and enhance the role of mosques as centres of spiritual growth and community unity.
The evening concluded with a communal dinner attended by guests and local residents from various backgrounds, reflecting the strong spirit of harmony and unity within the Sebuyau community.
