KUCHING: Hope Church Kuching received a financial boost from the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) to strengthen its community outreach and social welfare initiatives.
The contribution reflects UNIFOR’s ongoing commitment to supporting faith-based organisations that serve beyond their congregations, reaching vulnerable groups and families in need.
The funds will help Hope Church expand its welfare programmes, sustain outreach to underprivileged communities and enhance initiatives that promote compassion and care within society.
Batu Kitang state assemblyman, Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, who presented the aid on behalf of UNIFOR today, said the assistance underscores Sarawak’s inclusive approach to development and social well-being, where the government supports all communities in their shared mission to uplift lives.
The ceremony also celebrated the spirit of unity and collaboration among Sarawak’s diverse religious and community groups.
Both UNIFOR and Hope Church reaffirmed that compassion and generosity transcend boundaries, fostering social harmony and mutual understanding.
