SIBU: The Sarawak Iban Farmers’ Welfare Organisation (PKPIS) will hold a dinner at Kingwood Hotel here starting 6.30pm on March 2.
Its director, Jocky Jim Ungka, said the event is organised by PKPIS Supreme Council.
“This is a highly anticipated event by all our members which is expected to be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who is also Modernisation of Agriculture, Customary Lands and Regional Development Minister,” he told reporters here, yesterday.
A meeting chaired by Jocky was held here last week to discuss the event.
Jocky said the event is meant to appreciate and to strengthen ties among all the members and PKPIS leaders.
“We hope PKPIS members in Kanowit, Julau and Selangau will be able to attend this dinner. A total of 50 tables are available for those interested. There will also be stage performances by local singers,” he said.
