MUKAH: Interest in rugby among students in Mukah was on display as 45 participants from eight schools participated in a rugby sports clinic held at Padang Menara Pehin Setia Raja on Feb 7.

The one-day programme focused on introducing participants to basic rugby skills and fundamentals, while providing early exposure to the sport among students in the Mukah district.

The Klinik Sukan Ragbi was jointly organised by SK Penakup Ulu, Mukah and the Mukah Division Rugby Association, with support from affiliated clubs including Kelab Ragbi Tibow, Otterian Rugby Club and Vixen Rugby Club.

Among the participating schools were SMK Three Rivers, SK Datuk Awang Udin, MRSM Mukah, SK Parish, SK SLDB Ladang 1, SK Betanak, SK Kampung Petanak and SK Agama MIS Mukah.

The clinic forms part of ongoing grassroots efforts to encourage participation and strengthen rugby development at the district level.
