KUCHING: Inter-Continental Travel Centre (ITC) has strengthened ties with government agencies and industry partners through a friendly bowling tournament aimed at fostering closer collaboration and long-term professional relationships.
Held at Megalanes, Batu Kawa, the event drew strong participation from ITC’s longstanding clients and partners, who competed across 25 bowling lanes in a morning of friendly competition, networking and camaraderie.
In a statement, ITC said the tournament formed part of the company’s ongoing efforts to create meaningful engagement with stakeholders outside formal business settings while reinforcing collaboration within Sarawak’s tourism and travel industry.
The company said such initiatives also serve as a gesture of appreciation to valued partners who have supported its growth over the years.
The tournament saw teams compete over three games, with cumulative scores determining the overall standings.
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) emerged as tournament champion after recording the highest combined score, while the Premier’s Office finished as runners up and AirAsia Berhad secured third place.
Besides the competition, participants also had the opportunity to interact in a relaxed setting that promoted teamwork, sportsmanship and stronger working relationships among organisations.
The programme also featured a lucky draw with prizes sponsored by AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, Singapore Airlines, TBO.com and ITC, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The event concluded with a prize presentation ceremony followed by a group photograph to commemorate the gathering.
