BINTANGOR: Construction of the RM20.035-million Kampung Ranchak Bridge is progressing as scheduled, with the project expected to improve connectivity between Kampung Ranchak and Bintangor town upon its completion in April 2028.

Meradong assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, said the project would enhance accessibility for residents while supporting economic activities and improving their quality of life.

“It is important that this project remains on schedule, with due attention given to construction quality, safety and the needs of local communities throughout its implementation.

“I believe close cooperation between JKR, community leaders, and residents will help ensure the project is completed smoothly and brings lasting benefits to the people,” he said in a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

Ding visited the project site with officers from the Sarikei Division Public Works Department (PWD) on Thursday (July 30) to inspect its progress.

The bridge project commenced on April 10 this year and is scheduled for completion on April 9, 2028.
