KUCHING: State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki received a courtesy call from the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) Datuk Rahimi Ismail at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, today.
The visit marked Rahimi’s first courtesy call on Mohamad Abu Bakar since his appointment as KBS secretary-general on Mar 9.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on youth and sports development, with particular focus on Sarawak’s preparations as host of the 2027 SEA Games.
In a light moment, Rahimi presented Abu Bakar a special gift of Perlis’ renowned Harum Manis mangoes, known for their distinctive fragrance and sweetness.
The meeting also reflected the close ties between the state government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with both sides expressing hope for continued collaboration in strengthening youth and sports development in the state.
Abu Bakar also conveyed his appreciation for the visit and extended well wishes to Rahimi in his new role.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Operations) Datuk Hii Chang Kee and a delegation from KBS.
