KOTA SAMARAHAN: The handover of the MADANI Adopted Village project by Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) in Kampung Sindang, Samarahan here recently, marked the government’s grassroots-driven MADANI initiative.
The project, part of KDN’s outreach approach, aims to identify real community needs while enhancing basic infrastructure and socio-economic well-being.
Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, said the initiative demonstrated collaborative engagement between government agencies and local communities.
“This is the MADANI Adopted Village model, which unites all parties and agencies to ensure development benefits are directly felt by the community,” he said.
KDN and its regulatory agencies have implemented 12 MADANI Adopted Village projects to date, with each village allocated RM1 million for development works to improve residents’ well-being.
For this edition, the Registrar of Societies (ROS) served as the host agency, selecting Kampung Sindang as the project site.
The handover also marked the final event for KDN agencies under this year’s MADANI Adopted Village programme, fulfilling the ministry’s commitment to people-centric development.
The initiative is expected to strengthen cooperation between the government and local communities while acting as a catalyst for sustainable socio-economic growth in rural areas.
