KUCHING: KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital marked a milestone with the launch of its upgraded Health Screening Clinic and the annual Customer Care & Experience (CCX) Day, reinforcing its commitment to preventive healthcare and patient-centred services.
The revamped Health Screening Clinic on Level 1 is designed for greater efficiency, comfort and accessibility, providing the community with seamless early detection services and supporting long-term wellness.
Regional Chief Executive Officer for East Malaysia, Dr Kenny Yeap Kim Pey, said the upgraded clinic demonstrates the hospital’s dedication to preventive care.

“With this upgrade, early detection can be more accessible and efficient for the people of Sarawak.
“CARE values – Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence – are more than just words; they define how we treat our patients and support one another as a team,” he added during the CCX Day officiating ceremony on Tuesday.
The celebration featured health awareness talks covering topics such as good body posture, organ donation, breast cancer and brain and spine diseases.
Educational booths on cancer prevention, treatment options and overall wellness were also available, alongside interactive sessions promoting healthy living.
Adding a festive touch, Kidzoona mascot Lala visited the Paediatric Clinic and Ward, delighting young patients and their families.
Visitors also enjoyed basic health screenings, promotional packages, birthday celebrations for December-born patients, cookie distributions and a lucky draw.
Also present were Medical Director, Dr Mahadhir Alhady Sulaiman, hospital management staff and corporate partners, including representatives from Pink Ribbon, PERKESO, insurers and other collaborating agencies.
