MIRI: Three men with extensive criminal records could not avoid the long arm of the law when they were apprehended on Friday night during ‘Ops Bersepadu’.

According to Miri Police chief, ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the suspects aged 50, 41 and 27 were detained by Miri Central Polis station patrol personnel after a car that they were in was spotted parked suspiciously by the road shoulder at Jalan Riam Utama around 10.35pm.

When they inspected the car, police discovered several sharp items.

All suspects have been brought to Miri Central Polis station lockup for questioning.

The case is being investigated under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.
