KOTA SAMARAHAN: A local man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding skidded and slammed into a road sign along Jalan Kota Samarahan–Sadong Jaya, here yesterday (May 4).
Kota Samarahan deputy police chief DSP Barry William said the 24-year-old is believed to have lost control of his Yamaha 135LC motorcycle at around 4 pm.
“Initial investigations found that the victim, who was riding alone, is said to have failed to control his vehicle at a corner, causing it to skid before crashing into a road sign.
“The victim was rushed to Asajaya Health Clinic but succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at around 5.50 pm,” he said in a statement.
His body has been taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further actions.
