KOTA SAMARAHAN: A 37-year-old man was injured after his hand was trapped in a bread-making machine at a confectionery factory in the Stakan Light Industrial Estate here this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a distress call at 11.28 am and dispatched a team from the Kota Samarahan station to the location.

Upon arrival, firefighters used hydraulic tools, including a spreader and ram, to free the victim’s hand.

The victim, identified as Jimbro Nyungan, sustained a fracture to his right wrist.

He was later handed over to Health Ministry personnel for further treatment.

The operation ended at 12.25 pm.
