KUCHING: Police have arrested three youths aged between 15 and 19 in connection with a viral attempted theft case following two separate raids carried out between April 7 and 8.
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the operations were conducted at Kampung Stapok along Jalan Batu Kawa and Kampung Haji Baki.
He said the suspects were believed to be involved in an attempted theft incident that had recently gone viral on social media, prompting swift police action.
“All three suspects were apprehended during the raids and are currently in police custody for further investigation.”
The case is being investigated under Section 379 read together with Section 511 of the Penal Code.
