LAWAS: A modern MyArch Bridge is set to become the centrepiece of the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) Phase 1 project.

Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak said the project has reached 71.16 per cent physical progress and is on track for completion on March 16, 2027.

PWD Sarawak’s Director, Datuk Dr Cassidy Morris, visited the project site on Thursday to inspect the progress and receive the latest briefing on the implementation of works.

The project forms part of the Sarawak Government’s strategic initiative to strengthen land connectivity between Sarawak and Sabah.

According to the department, the modern arch bridge design meets technical and safety requirements while serving as a new landmark along the route.
