KAPIT: A new steel bridge and embankment at Rumah Bidok, Sebetong Ulu, Baleh has been fully completed, improving access and safety for residents.

The project, implemented under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), benefits 26 households involving an estimated 268 heads of households (KIR), and was officially launched by Baleh assemblyman Nicholas Kudi Jantai yesterday (May 2).

Speaking at the ceremony, Nicholas said the project reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen basic infrastructure in rural areas while enhancing the well-being of the community.

He also stressed that education remains a key pillar for future rural development, adding that road upgrades in Baleh are being carried out in phases by the Public Works Department (PWD).
