KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today received a courtesy visit from newly appointed Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah at Kompleks Satria Pertiwi.
The meeting marked his first official engagement with the Premier following his appointment on Sept 29, succeeding Datuk Mancha Ata who retired from service.
Zainal, 47, a native of Lawas, took over the post after previously serving as Deputy Director (Investigation/Legal) of the Criminal Investigation Department at Bukit Aman.
Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS) director Abdul Wahab Rahim was also present during the courtesy call, which lasted over 30 minutes.
