SPAOH: The full replacement construction project for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sebemban has been completed and is now ready to be used for the 2026 school year.

Deputy Minister of Community Wellbeing Development who is also Saribas state assemblyman, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam, said the school is expected to begin moving into the new building soon, ahead of the official opening on February 12.

“This school has been fully completed and can be used for the 2026 school session. I urge the school to move here soon before the school is officially opened on February 12,” he said during the project handover launch here today.

Razi expressed his appreciation to the state government for its continuous commitment in providing safer and more comfortable educational facilities for students.

He also hoped that the local community would jointly take good care of the facility as it is very beautiful, comfortable, and able to create a more inclusive learning environment.

He added that the construction of the new school also brings relief to students and staff who previously faced the risk of riverbank erosion at the old school site.

“I am confident that students will be more comfortable here without worrying about the riverbank erosion problems faced at the old school, which was located by the riverside and experienced severe erosion almost every year,” he explained.

He assured that he will continue working to improve and upgrade educational infrastructure in the Saribas area, including other schools that require attention.

He is also committed to continuing development planning for SK Sebemban from time to time for the wellbeing of students and the local community.
