KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching has provided wheelchairs to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) as part of its service to the unprivileged community.
Other than supporting families and individuals with food rations, Hope Place’s collaboration with SGH has contributed more than 15 wheelchairs, some of which are for SGH patients.
One such case is Sim Nyuk Moi, a 55-year-old single mother who suffered from a half-body stroke and was admitted to SGH for a month, unable to walk, and is still in the rehabilitation program.
A small-scale farmer, 66-year-old Helen Sue Gimad, had fractured her left leg and was admitted to hospital back in June.
She travelled all the way from Simunjan to Kuching for surgery and received a brand new wheelchair from Hope Place.
Hope Place expressed its utmost thanks to all sponsors who had contributed wheelchairs and support from generous donors as many have received comfort and lives have been touched.
