BINTULU: Coordination among agencies is being strengthened to ensure the smooth running of the Bintulu-level Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Programme from May 22 to 24.
Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom said preparations were now focused on logistics and technical arrangements.
He said all agencies involved had been instructed to streamline planning and improve coordination to ensure all requirements are met.
“This is important to ensure the programme runs smoothly throughout the three days,” he said when chairing the coordination meeting at Wisma Residen Bintulu on Monday (May 4).
Rundi, who is Kemena assemblyman, said the programme would serve as a key platform to showcase the government’s initiatives and development progress.
He said Bintulu’s transformation from a fishing town into an industrial hub, with Samalaju as its main industrial area, reflected the state’s development efforts.
Meanwhile, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Felicia Tan Ya Hua said SKS programmes held in Limbang and Miri had proceeded smoothly and received encouraging response.
She said the Bintulu organising committee could use both locations as benchmarks to further strengthen implementation of the programme.
