KUCHING: Applications for 156 sales stalls in conjunction with the International Dragon Boat Regatta and Sarawak Regatta 2026 will open online on Sept 15.
The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) said the stalls would be available along Jalan Gambier and Lebuh Java during the events from Oct 23 to 25 and Oct 30 to Nov 1, with a total fee of RM160 per stall for the six-day period.
The stalls comprise 77 lots for textiles, accessories, children’s toys and other items, 70 for food and beverages, and nine for grilled food.
“Applications for the sales stalls will be opened online on September 15 from 9 am to 5 pm via the link on the DBKU website DBKU website.
“All applicants are reminded to provide a valid telephone number and email address to facilitate notification of the application outcome,” it said.
Applicants must also provide passport-sized photographs and copies of identity cards for themselves and their stall assistants or workers.
Those applying for food and beverage, including grilled food stalls, must also possess a DBKU Food Handler Card.
All applications will undergo document screening before eligible applicants are considered for the balloting process.
The ballot will be held on Sept 29 and can be viewed live via DBKU’s Facebook page.
Applicants can check their application status through the official DBKU website from 2.30 pm on Oct 6.
Successful applicants must attend the Regatta Briefing Session and Stall Number Draw and make payment by cash or SarawakPay on Oct 10 at 8.30 am at the DBKU Auditorium, Bukit Siol, Jalan Semariang here.
DBKU advises all applicants to ensure that the information and documents submitted are complete, accurate and valid to avoid their applications from being rejected or unable to be processed.
