KUCHING: Pangkalan Sapi pier at the Kuching Waterfront will be temporarily closed until Jan 2 next year.

It will reopen on Jan 3, a statement from Kuching North City Hall said yesterday.

The temporary closure is to give way to preparation work for the New Year Countdown 2019 celebration and the launch of the Visit Sarawak Campaign 2019 at the Kuching Waterfront.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will officiate at the countdown and campaign event on Dec 31.
