KUCHING: The statement by former United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) member Zool Amali Hussin, also known as ‘Bozz Jebat’, who recently insulted Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in a six-minute video clip, has been described as extremely rude.
The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth Wing, in response, issued a statement expressing their deep concern and disappointment over Zool Amali’s behaviour.
They also urged him to issue a public apology promptly.
“Zool used abusive words in giving criticism that is mixed with racism as well as cultural and religious differences.
“Such politics, which are based on racism, have no place in a nation as diverse as Malaysia, where multiple races, religions, and backgrounds coexist.
“This shows the mentality of a few leaders who still lack capital in politics and show disrespect for the diversity of races and religions in Sarawak and Sabah,” the statement read.
PBB Youth Wing reasserted their full support for the leadership and decisions of the Premier of Sarawak.
“In politics, there should be room to give criticism and suggestions to the government for improvement and it should always be constructive and respectful, avoiding any form of insult,” it added.
