DARO: A peat forest fire at Kampung Penasu here was fully extinguished today (Apr 11).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the fire, which was reported at 8.32 am yesterday, was brought under control and put out on the second day of operations.
Personnel from the Daro station used an open water source and hose lines to contain and extinguish the blaze.
No casualties were reported.
