Perlis royal couple tours Brooke Dockyard Industrial Heritage Museum

KUCHING: His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, and the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajjah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, paid a visit to the Brooke Dockyard Industrial Heritage Museum on Saturday as part of their official three-day visit to Sarawak.

The royal couple arrived at the museum at approximately 11 am and was received by Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, accompanied by his wife, Datin Rosemarie Wong, as well as officers and staff from the Sarawak Museum Department.

During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses were briefed on the history of the Brooke Dockyard and its significant contribution to the growth of Sarawak’s maritime and shipbuilding industries.

They also toured the museum’s galleries, viewing a range of artifacts, exhibits and historical collections.

As part of their itinerary in Sarawak, the royal couple also attended and witnessed performances at the Rainforest World Music Festival 2026 held at the Sarawak Cultural Village. The festival is being held over three days, from Friday until Sunday.

Their Royal Highnesses are scheduled to return to Perlis on Monday after concluding their official visit to the state.
