PM Anwar offers condolences on passing of Premier’s wife Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang

KUCHING: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his condolences following the passing of Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, the wife of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who passed away early this morning (June 23).

In a Facebook post today, Anwar shared that he and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, are deeply saddened by the news.

“Our thoughts are entirely with the family of the late Puan Sri, especially Abang Jo, whom I had just met yesterday. May he remain strong and patient in facing this difficult test,” he said.

Anwar also conveyed prayers on behalf of his family, hoping that the late Juma’ani’s soul will be forgiven and granted a special place in the afterlife.

“Al-Fatihah,” he added.

Juma’ani passed away at Normah Medical Centre. She was 76.
