Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the procession is expected to involve around 10,000 participants and approximately 220 vehicles.

He said the event will take place from 4.30pm to 11pm and will pass through several major roads in the city.

“The procession will start from Jalan Ban Hock and proceed through Jalan Central Timur, Jalan Padungan, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Borneo, Jalan Bukit Mata, Jalan Main Bazaar, Jalan Gambier, Lebuh Java, Jalan Market, Jalan Kho Hun Yeang, Jalan Pearl, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg and end at Jalan Carpenter.”

In view of the large-scale movement, police have urged members of the public to exercise caution and avoid parking vehicles along road shoulders along the affected routes to prevent traffic obstruction.

Motorists are also advised to plan their journeys ahead and consider alternative routes to reduce congestion during the procession period.
