SARAWAK’S political stability and long-standing racial harmony continue to serve as key strengths in attracting investor confidence and supporting the state’s aspiration to become a modern, prosperous and high-income region.
Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, said the peaceful and harmonious environment enjoyed by Sarawak today has become a key attraction for both investors and international economic players.

“The political stability and racial harmony enjoyed by Sarawak today are among the state’s greatest strengths,” he said in his opening address for the Fifth Session of the 19th DUN today.
Wan Junaidi stressed that every individual has a shared responsibility to preserve peace, safety and public confidence to ensure Sarawak remains attractive to investors.
“Each and every one of us must be responsible in creating an environment that is peaceful, safe and capable of inspiring confidence among investors,” he added.
According to Wan Junaidi, international investors and economic players are more inclined to invest in countries or regions that possess political stability, good governance and a society that lives in peace and harmony.
He called on Sarawakians of different races, religions, cultures and political beliefs to continue safeguarding the spirit of unity and mutual respect that has long defined the state.
He added that with visionary and forward-looking leadership, Sarawak has the potential to continue progressing as a modern, prosperous and high-income territory.
