KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, received a courtesy call from Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg earlier today (May 7) ahead of the State Cabinet meeting which was also scheduled to take place later today.
The meeting was held to seek the consent of the Head of State as well as to brief him on matters related to the agenda of the State Cabinet meeting.
The routine engagement reflected the close cooperation between the institution of the Head of State and the state executive leadership in ensuring the smooth administration and continued development of Sarawak.
During the cordial meeting, Wan Junaidi and Abang Johari also discussed several matters concerning the interests of the people as well as the direction of the state’s future development in line with Sarawak’s long-term development strategies.
