LIMBANG: Monitoring and coordination efforts are being strengthened to ensure the smooth implementation of the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ Programme and strategic development projects here, with a focus on delivering maximum benefits to the people.
State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, recently visited the ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ programme site at the Limbang Sports Complex.
The working visit was aimed at assessing preparations for the programme, which is scheduled to take place from April 10 to 12, and ensuring all plans are implemented according to schedule and specifications.
The ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ Programme here is expected to feature a wide range of activities, including exhibitions by government agencies, service counters, Limbang Kitchen and sales booths, a concert, Sarawak Cultural Night, and sports events aimed at encouraging broad participation from the local community.
The programme is expected to be officially launched by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on April 11.
Following the site visit, Abu Bakar chaired the second coordination meeting of the Limbang Division ‘Sarawakku Sayang’ Programme Main Committee, where he stressed the importance of strong commitment from all committees involved and thorough planning to ensure the success of the large-scale event.
He also visited several strategic development projects here, including the Rangau Valley Housing Project, which involves the construction of 128 double-storey terrace and semi-detached houses, as well as the Limbang Integrated Administrative Centre (IAC) project.
Abu Bakar said continuous monitoring was crucial to ensure that every development initiative implemented would directly benefit the people, particularly through the provision of quality infrastructure and improvements to the living standards of the local community.
