SIBU: Prof. Dr Tunza Mohd Riduan’s 21 years of service and dedication in the field of human capital development were recognised when he was named the recipient of the Most Active Speaker and Lecturer Award 2004-2025.
According to a media statement issued on Tuesday, the prestigious award was presented by the Sibu Salim Cultural and Arts Association at a recent event.
The statement said the recognition was given for Prof. Tunza’s significant contributions in empowering communities through entrepreneurship, motivation, leadership and strategic management.
“Prof. Tunza played an important role in the success of various training programmes and talks that directly benefitted Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) graduates, school students, youth, as well as the underprivileged, single mothers, and orphans.
“The association greatly appreciates the time, energy and strong commitment shown by him. He not only shares knowledge but also serves as a source of inspiration for participants to build their identity.
“Every responsibility entrusted is always carried out with sincerity for the good of all parties,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Prof. Tunza, who upholds the principle ‘Knowledge cannot be bought’, described true knowledge as something that can only be gained through effort, determination and life experience.
He said knowledge is the lamp of life, serving as a guide in facing any challenge.
“Knowledge that is practised stays close to the heart, enlightens us, and brings us closer to God,” he added.
Throughout the period from 2004 to 2025, Prof. Tunza has demonstrated excellence, authoritative leadership, and high integrity, making him an exemplary figure in academia and in the nation’s human capital development.
