KUCHING: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak will hold the Sarawak Children’s Arts & Literature Festival (SCALF) 2026 on September 12 and 13, featuring 16 interactive spaces designed to give children a fun learning and exploration experience.
In a statement today, Pustaka said the two-day festival, running from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak here, would cater to children aged four to 12.
The festival will feature a range of activities combining elements of art, creativity, literature, science, play, nature, makerspace, performance and exploration, it said.
The festival will also provide spaces for children to read, play, create and develop their imagination in an interactive and enjoyable setting.
Pustaka said the festival aims to nurture a love of reading, encourage creativity, and cultivate a culture of creation and imagination among children through a relaxed and enjoyable approach to learning.
It said admission is free and open to all, members of the public, particularly parents and families, are invited to bring their children to explore the various spaces and activities on offer.
Pustaka added that SCALF 2026 will also serve as a platform to introduce itself as a child-friendly space for learning and exploration, while encouraging families to spend quality time together in activities centred on knowledge, art and creativity.
