KUCHING: Her Royal Highness Raja Perempuan Kelantan, Tengku Anis Ibni Almarhum Tengku Abdul Hamid visited the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) as part of her official visit to Sarawak today.
Accompanying Tengku Anis were her younger siblings, Tengku Kesoma Mastika Tengku Anisah Almarhum Tengku Abdul Hamid and Tengku Aniza Ibni Almarhum Tengku Abdul Hamid, along with the chairperson of the Persatuan Wanita Sarawak (WANISA), Datin Ayu Kartini Abdullah, WANISA advisor Toh Puan Hayati Ahmat, and other distinguished guests.
Upon her arrival, Tengku Anis was welcomed with a traditional dance performance by SCV dancers before proceeding with her tour.
She had the opportunity to visit the panggah (ceremonial house) of the Bidayuh community to witness their traditional dance before moving on to the Iban longhouse, where she also enjoyed a cultural performance.
Tengku Anis then continued her visit around SCV to explore the traditional houses of various ethnic groups before proceeding to the Theatre Hall to enjoy a cultural performance showcasing Sarawak’s diverse heritage.
Her five-day official visit to Sarawak commenced on Thursday and will continue until Monday.
On Saturday, the Raja Perempuan Kelantan and her entourage will visit Juma’ani Pavilion in the afternoon and attend the WANISA Charity Gala Dinner at Sheraton Hotel in the evening.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Tengku Anis is scheduled to visit Kek Lapis Warisan in Satok in the morning and later embark on the Sarawak River Cruise to enjoy a scenic tour along the Kuching Waterfront.
