KUCHING: The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang is fondly remembered as a humble, compassionate, and motherly figure by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Among them is Deputy Minister of Sports, Youth and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, who shared a personal tribute on social media today (June 23), expressing sorrow over her passing.
“She was always asking about my parents when we met, concerned and sending her warm regards to them,” he wrote in a Facebook post today, alongside a photo taken with the late Juma’ani on the first day of Gawai.
“With great sadness, we mourn the passing of YABhg Puan Sri Datuk Amar Hajah Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang. My deepest condolences to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the entire family. Salam takziah from all of us in Layar and across Sarawak.”
He added that her sincerity and thoughtful gestures will always be remembered.
