PADAWAN: A local man suffered head injury after his motorcycle allegedly skidded out of control before plunging into a roadside stream today.
The accident occurred at around 3;15 am near Kampung Kunau, Jalan Puncak Borneo.
The 35-year-old victim was found about six metres from the main road, lying beside the stream when rescuers arrived at the scene.
Despite suffering head injury, he remained conscious throughout the rescue.
Firefighters from Siburan station used a stretcher to carry the victim up the embankment to safety before providing initial treatment.
He was later transported to the hospital by the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) unit for further treatment.
Once the situation was safe, the rescue operation ended at 4:24 am.
