KUCHING: Riverside Majestic Hotel Puteri Wing is placing the spotlight on its exclusive #RamadanStay Package this fasting month, offering guests a two-day, one-night stay inclusive of sahur and iftar, complemented by the hotel’s signature “Sungkei Ria” Ramadan Buffet Dinner.

Running from Feb 19 to March 19, the specially curated stay package is designed to provide a seamless and meaningful Ramadan retreat in the heart of the city, allowing families, friends and corporate guests to dine, rest and spend quality time together under one roof.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude and togetherness. With our Ramadan Stay Package, we wanted to create a meaningful experience where families and guests can enjoy not only a memorable iftar, but also a comfortable and relaxing stay under one roof,” said General Manager of Grand Margherita Hotel and Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kenneth Perreau.

He said the package was conceptualised to go beyond the traditional buffet format, positioning it as a holistic Ramadan celebration rather than a standalone dining event.

“We wanted to elevate the experience by offering something more comprehensive. It is not just about food, but about creating a complete Ramadan atmosphere where guests can dine, stay and spend quality time together conveniently in one location,” he added.

The #RamadanStay Package is priced from RM440+ per room per night for a two-day, one-night stay, inclusive of sahur for two persons and iftar for two at the Sungkei Ria Ramadan Buffet Dinner.

Guests will also enjoy a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Club Room, subject to availability, granting access to exclusive Club privileges during their stay.

Kenneth noted that while operational costs across the hospitality industry continue to rise, the hotel remains committed to delivering strong value without compromising quality.

“We achieve this through strategic menu planning and controlled rotation to minimise wastage, leveraging long-term supplier partnerships for consistent quality ingredients, and efficient manpower planning during peak periods,” he said.

He added that Early Bird promotions, senior citizen discounts and Insiders Club membership benefits were introduced to reward loyal patrons and encourage advance bookings, ensuring pricing remains competitive and accessible for families and corporate groups alike.

Complementing the stay experience, the Sungkei Ria Ramadan Buffet Dinner is served daily from 6pm to 10pm at the Majestic Restaurant, offering a warm ambience with city views during the sacred month.

Designed to reflect Malaysia’s diverse culinary heritage, the buffet presents a harmonious blend of traditional Ramadan favourites and contemporary creations, with rotating signature dishes across the four-week period to ensure variety for repeat diners.

Highlights include kampung-style classics, international selections, interactive barbecue stations and live cooking stalls that enhance freshness and engagement.

The buffet is priced at RM138+ per adult and RM69+ per child aged between six and 12 years old. Senior citizens aged 60 and above are entitled to a 30 per cent discount, encouraging multi-generational families to gather and break fast together.

Kenneth said that early response to the promotion has been encouraging, particularly following the launch of the Early Bird offer for advance reservations.

“The Early Bird promotion generated strong interest, especially from corporate groups securing bulk bookings for team iftar sessions. We are seeing a healthy mix of family gatherings and corporate events,” he said.

Hotel representatives expect bookings to increase further as Ramadan progresses, especially on peak weekends closer to Hari Raya Aidilfitri, with strong demand anticipated for large group reservations and integrated stay packages.

Kenneth said the hotel has incorporated modest Ramadan-themed décor, dedicated prayer facilities and attentive service to ensure a seamless and respectful atmosphere throughout the fasting month.

“At Riverside Majestic Hotel, we believe Ramadan is about togetherness, gratitude and reflection. We strive to create an environment where guests feel genuinely welcomed ,not just well-served whether they are joining us for iftar, staying the night, or both,” he said.

Bookings for both the Sungkei Ria Ramadan Buffet Dinner and the #RamadanStay Package are now open to the public.
