BINTULU: Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Chinese New Year open house held at Bintulu Civic Centre attracted close to 3,000 people yesterday morning.
Many were seen arriving as early as 9am.
The guests-of-honour were former governor Tun Pehin Sri Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng and wife Toh Puan Datuk Pantinggi Norkiah.
Accompanying them during the visit were Minister in the Chief Minister Department Datuk Talib Zulpilip, Local Government Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil and Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) youth chief Michael Tiang, who is also a political secretary to the Chief Minister.
TYT’s entourage arrived at 10am and was received by PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and a lion dance troop.
