BINTANGOR: Deputy Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii officiated at a new LED screen panel at the new hall of SJK(C) Tong Hua on Thursday (Jun 11), aimed at providing pupils with a more dynamic learning experience.

Huang, who is also Sarikei Member of Parliament (MP), stressed that the addition of the new facility is more than just a regular upgrade for the school.

Instead, he described it as a symbol of commitment towards quality education and a better learning environment for every pupil in the Sarikei parliamentary constituency.

“Education is a priority that cannot be compromised. Every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of political, religious or racial backgrounds,” he said.

During the event, Huang also handed over a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant worth RM15,000 to the SJK(C) Tong Hua Management Board to support the school’s annual activities.

Clarifying his support for the school, Huang explained that his contributions are not driven by political considerations, but rather by a sense of responsibility and the firm belief that investing in education today is the best investment for future generations.

“I do not view this from a political angle. I see it from the perspective of our children’s future. As long as they have dreams and hopes, I will continue to do my best to provide for them,” he added.

He further called on the entire school community to remain united and work hand-in-hand to ensure a conducive learning environment for all students.

Community unity within schools, he stressed, is the backbone of achieving greater success in the future.

“The dreams and hopes of our children are our shared responsibility. Let us look after them, give them the best opportunities, and ensure that no child is left behind,” Huang urged.
